Its borders are roughly defined by the Northern State Parkway, the Deepdale Parkway, Searingtown and Shelter Rock Road and Oak Ridge Lane. Searingtown is an upper-middle-class neighborhood that is popular with families. Because of its proximity to the Long Island Expressway, it is an easy drive into Manhattan, taking only roughly 45 minutes. Those commuting by rail need only to travel to the neighboring Albertson to take the Long Island Rail Road.
